|Summary of contents:|
William HIGGINS of Bosbury, Herefordshire. Labourer.
William PRITCHARD of Bosbury, Herefordshire. Labourer.
Henry HARBOUR of Ledbury, Herefordshire. Yeoman.
The document begins by reciting an Indenture of 1824 in which William Higgins mortgaged property in Bosbury to John Hooper of Bosbury for £90. He then borrowed a further £30 on the same security in 1831.
William Higgins is now selling the property to William Pritchard for £123/13/-d which is the exact sum now owing to John Hooper on the mortgage.
The property consists of a plot of arable land of 2 roods, 6 perches at Catley in the Parish of Bosbury. A cottage has recently been built on it known as either Suffield or Sheffield Orchard. It is bounded bythe tunpike road from Ledbury to Bromyard ontheWest.
Henry Harbour appears to act only as some sort of trustee and plays very little real part.
