Charles Aldin of Clapham, Surrey, Builder
William Hallows Belli of No.1 Queens Gate Terrace, Kensington, Middlesex, Esquire

Subject
The Indenture relates to a plot of land with one house on the South side of The Gore Road, parish of St Mary Abbotts, Kensington, Middlesex.

We are told that a 99-year lease was granted to Charles Aldin in March 1857 at a rent of 25 per annum. Charles Aldin immediately mortgaged it for 1000 and then later borrowed a further 1500 from the same lenders. In November 1857 he mortgaged it a second time to William Belli for 500.

William Belli is now buying the residue of the lease from Charles Aldin for a total of 4800. Of this sum he retains 500 to pay off the second mortgage, and a further 2500 is deducted since William Belli is taking over the first mortgage. The remaining 1800 is paid to Charles Aldin.
