The document begins by reciting that a 999 year lease was given to Henry Penton on property in Aldershot in 1859 at a rent of 1s (shilling) per annum. Then in 1859 Henry Penton mortgaged the residue of the lease to Charles Penton for £850. Default was made on the mortgage leaving Charles Penton with power to sell the lease. George Langridge is now buying it for £680.
The property is a plot of land 25ft x 80ft near the South Camp in Aldershot with a tenement and outbuildings erected by Henry Penton.
On the cover of the document the plot is said to be in High Street, Aldershot.
