Thomas BUN of Northmundham, Sussex. Husbandman.
Thomas LIMBRIS of Northmundham, Sussex. Husbandman.
We are told that Thomas BUN is the only son and heir of Elizabeth, late wife of Allan BUN, who was daughter and heir of Humphrey SELDEN (deceased) of East Angmering, Sussex. Bricklayer.
The document begins by reciting an Indenture of 1676 in which Thomas BUN mortgaged property in Goring, Sussex, to Thomas LIMBRIS for £15. The following year this mortgage was increased to £26/16/6d. Thomas BUN is now borrowing a further £10 and with added interest the amount owing is now £38/17/6d.
The property consists of a messuage called Figgs with 5 acres of land and another close called Greens Croft.
