|Summary of contents:|
Thomas LOVERIDGE of Lilly Hall, Ledbury, Herefordshire. Farmer.
William BISHOP (deceased) of Aylton, Herefordshire. Gentleman.
The document begins by reciting the Will of William Bishop who died in 1852 having appointed Thomas Loveridge and Benjamin Bosley as Executors and Trustees. This Deed is a declaration by Thomas Loveridge that he refuses to act as Trustee, and has not touched any of the assets, and will not be liable for the discharge of the Will in any way.
The document spells out the Will in considerable detail, mentioning a dwelling house called Newbridge Cottage, and a piece of woodland called Hay Grove in the Parish of Pixley. There is a bequest of £200 to Henry Bishop, the son of John Bishop, who was the brother of William. The cottage is for the use of William's wife Nancy during her lifetime, but we are told that Henry also died in 1852.
