Joseph GREGSON of Bowlalley Lane, Kingston upon Hull. Chartered Accountant.
John EMERSON of Twyer's House, Hedon Road, Hedon, Yorkshire. Estate and Financial Agent.
The Burnley Building Society.
We are told that John Emerson was adjudged to be bankrupt in 1894 at which time John Gregson was appointed trustee of his estate and effects.
It appears that John Emerson had bought a plot of land in 1887 which was then at Newland in the parish of Cottingham, but which has since become part of the City of Kingston upon Hull. It is a plot of 448 feet x 40 feet and lies between Victoria Avenue and Park Avenue. The Burnley Building Society appears to hold a mortgage on this property and Joseph Gregson is now selling it to them for £10/10/-d.
