NOTE that Andrew Hind, John Sharp and John Dowsett, are all acting in their capacity as Trustees to the Stepney, Ratcliff and St George's Benefit Building Society No 2.
We are told that on 10 January 1852, William Cloutman was granted a 99 year lease on a plot of land 16ft x 75ft on the East side of St George's Street, Commercial Road, Peckham. It includes a dwelling house in the course of creation by William Cloutman numbered 33 St George's Street.
He is now mortgaging the property to the Stepney Building Society for £10.
A second Indenture of 29 May 1852, written on the back, increases the mortgage by a further £44/10/-d and on 12 June 1852 by another £41/7/6d at the point when the house is completely finished.
