John Brander of the City of Bath, Somerset. Esquire. Charles Shaw Lefevre. Esquire. Lovelace Bigg Wither. Esquire. Arthur Quartley of Christchurch, Hampshire. Surgeon. SUBJECT We are told that Charles Lefevre and Lovelace Wither are Commissioners appointed to collect a Land Tax in the county of Hampshire. It appears that John Brander must owe them money in respect of this tax since he is selling property in Christchurch to Arthur Quartley for £64, but all this money is being paid direct to the Commissioners for the National Debt. The property is a dwelling house with garden and courtyard at Great Bridge in Christchurch which came into the hands of John Brander through the Will of Gustavus Brander of The Priory, Hampshire. | ||||||||||||
