SUBJECT
William Silversides is mortgaging property in Sherburn, Yorkshire to Emma Simpson for £200. The property consists of:

i. Messuage now used as an inn with barn, stables, cowhouse and garden behind.
ii. Lately erected cottage in the yard behind (i).
iii. Parcel of meadow of 3 acres.

The inn is on the East side of Town Street in Sherburn. We are told that William Silversides aquired the property in 1851.

A separate paper receipt is attached saying that the mortgage and interest were repaid in 1853 after the death of Mr Wm Silversides.
