|Summary of contents:|
Francis Hollington of the Stag Brewery, Monument Lane, Birmingham, Warwickshire. Porter Merchant.
William Laslett of Thorngrove and of the City of Worcester, Worcestershire. Gentleman.
Elisabeth Ellis Lindon of the tything of Whistones in the Parish of Claines, Worcester, Worcestershire. Spinster.
Francis Davis (deceased) of Lower Town, Claines, Worcestershire. Gentleman.
The document begins by telling us that Francis Hollington came into possession of a half share of copyhold property in 1833 out of the Will of Francis Davis. Then, in 1839, Francis Hollington mortgaged the property to William Laslett for £100.
The mortgage is now being transferred from William Laslett to Elisabeth Lindon and, at the same time, Francis Hollington is borrowing a further £150 from her.
The property consists of a messuage called Lower Town together with a farm of 60 acres. Some other names mentioned are Joseph Hollington who is the tenant of Lower Town, and Mary Hollington, the sister of Francis.
