PARTIES
Samuel WILLETTS of Prestwood in the Parish of Kingswinford, Staffordshire. Tailor. Charles JAMES late of Brierley Hill, Staffordshire now of Feckenham, Worcestershire. Innkeeper. John BLICK of Hill Court, Parish of Dodderhill, Worcestershire. Gentleman. James JAMES (deceased) of Feckenham, Worcestershire. Innkeeper. SUBJECT The document begins by reciting the Will of James JAMES who died in 1851. the Will mentions his father Francis JAMES, his wife Martha and four children Charles, Elizabeth, Hannah and Maria. The property to which this contract relates is an Inn and Brewhouse known as the Old Rose and Crown in Feckenham and is left in equal parts to the two eldest children, Charles and Elizabeth. Somehow, it appears that Elizabeth's share came into the hands of Charles JAMES in 1867 and that he has borrowed £200 from Samuel Willetts against the property. This mortgage is now being transferred to John BLICK from whom Charles JAMES is also borrowing a further £200. | |||||||||||||
