Henry RITSON of 21 Lambton Street, Langley Park, Durham. Miner. Frederic RAINE of Hyeres, France. Gentleman. SUBJECT This is a document of the Halmote Court of the Manor of Broom and Flass. It relates to property at No 5 Elm Street, Langley Park, County Durham, which had been mortgaged in 1906 by Henry Ritson to Frederic Raine for £90. Henry Ritson is now repaying the property to the Lord of the Manor to the use of Henry Ritson. Note that Frederic Raine lives in France and the surrender was performed "Out of Court at Hyeres in the Republic of France before Jesse Hook, Gentleman, Deputy for this time Only" (so it seems that a special deputy steward was appointed for this purpose). | ||||||||||||
