PARTIES Charlotte Ann Johnson the wife of Thomas Johnson of Dunns Place, West Kyo, County Durham. Clerk. William Granville Maddison of the City of Durham, County Durham. Solicitor. The Reverend William Maddison of Gosforth, Northumberland. Clerk in Holy Orders. SUBJECT Charlotte Anne Johnson is mortgaging property in West Kyo and Annfield Plain to the other two parties for £260. It consists of (1) A dwelling house and garden on the South side of, and fronting onto, the Main Road to Kyo. Also included is a 1/3 share in a back street which runs behind this and two other adjoining houses. The property is shown on a plan on the back. (2) A dwelling house on a plot of land (formerly part of Lanchester Common) fronting onto St Aidans Crescent. Mrs Johnson appears to have aquired property (1) in 1905 and property (2) in 1909. A typed memorandum added on the cover says that the property was conveyed to Dora Fawcett in 1925.
