John Bowen of Llwynyreos in the Parish of West Cilrhedyn, Pembrokeshire. Contractor. SUBJECT David Mark Davies is selling 2 cottages in East Cilrhedyn to John Bowen for £26. The cottages are called Penrhiw and Bumper forming part of a farm called Clynfelinfawr at Cwmmorgan. We are told that David Davies has several large mortgages secured on this property (and, presumably on other properties as well). 1. £2300 to John and Thomas Jones 2. £360 to the Metropolitan Bank 3. £225 to John Jones There is a schedule of indentures relating to these mortgages which runs from 1877 to 1913. It appears that David Mark Davies acquired the property from Martha Davies (d 1899) who was the wife of Thomas Davies (d 1880).
