This document is a record of a Special Customary Court of the Manor of Tupcoates with Myton. This is within Kingston upon Hull and the Lords of the Manor are the Mayor, Aldermen and Burgesses of the borough.
It relates to a Mansion Lodge formerly called Myton Hall but now known as the Convent of the Immaculate Conception of Our Lady of Mercy. It is near the turnpike road from Kingston upon Hull to Anlaby and has about 7200 square yards of land attached.
We are told that this property is being surrendered to the Lords of the Manor by Mary McOwen, Florence Curr, Ann McCartan, Ann King and Mary Neligen. On the same day Mary McOwen, Julia Kennedy and Ellen Hearon are being admitted to it.
This looks as though it is an administrative re-arrangement within the Convent, not a real change of ownership.
