George TURNBULL of Sunderland, County Durham. Joiner.
Richard BUTLER of Lambtons Buildings in the Parish of Bishopwearmouth, County Durham. Mariner.
James COLLIN of Sunniside, Parish of Bishopwearmouth, County Durham. Gentleman.
George Turnbull is mortgaging copyhold property in the Manor of Bishopwearmouth to James Collin. It consists of a plot of 8 yards by 35 yards in Lambton Street with a messuage lately erected by George Turnbull. We are told that George Turnbull also owns another plot immediately to the South.
It appears that George Turnbull had previously mortgaged the property to Richard Butler for £150. That mortgage is now being transferred to James Collin who is also lending an additional; £150.
This document consists of covenants between the various parties which complement the manorial process of surrender and admission.
