PARTIES
John LEABERRY of Bletchley, Buckinghamshire. Farmer and ANN his wife. SUBJECT The document relates to copyhold land in the Manor of Great Horwood, Buckinghamshire. It consists of a cottage, now divided into two tenements, at Wood End Lane, Great Horwood. At the General Court Baron of the Manor, John and Ann Leaberry are surrendering the property to the Lord of the Manor, after which John Leaberry alone is admitted to it. It appears that the property had originally been held by Ann Leaberry (presumably before her marriage) and the transfer to her husband is probably a necessary preliminary to enable him to sell it (which he does on the same day - please see document number 0506082). | |||||||||||||
