Richard BOWSER of Bishop Auckland, County Durham. Gentleman. SUBJECT Cuthbert Morson is borrowing £54 from Richard Bowser on security of the Kings Arms Inn in Bishop Auckland. The Inn is on the North side of the Market Place and has cottages, joiners workshop, slaughterhouse and other outbuildings attached. Also included in the mortgage are 2 cottages in High Bondgate Street and Back Bondgate Street. The second Indenture of 1876 tells us that Cuthbert Morson died in 1872 leaving his property to 2 sons, Henry and Cuthbert.
