Parties
William Headington senior (deceased) late of White Waltham, Berkshire. Farmer William Headington of Bray, Berkshire. Farmer Arthur Hubbard of Bray, Berkshire. Fruiterer Thomas Buckland of Windsor, Berkshire. Land surveyor Thomas Wright of Bisham, Berkshire. Gentleman Subject The document begins by reciting that William Headington (senior) died in 1853 having appointed his wife Eleanor, brother John and son William (who is listed among the parties above) as his Executors. Since then Eleanor died in 1859 and John died in 1860. The remaining executor William is now selling various parcels of land, which together make up a field of 9 acres, on Braywood Common, parish of Bray, to Arthur Hubbard for £375. We are also told that, earlier in 1865, William has sold other property to Thomas Buckland and Thomas Wright and covenants are included between all three purchasers to make relevant deeds available to each other. Mention of earlier indentures relating to this property suggest that some or all of it was acquired by Willaim Headington senior in 1834 and 1838. | |||||||||||
