We are told that John Wells, a copyhold tenant of the Manor of Lessingham died in 1736. Robert Wells, his nephew (ie this Robert is the eldest son of Robert Wells, deceased, who was the eldest brother of John Wells) is now being admitted to his property.
The property is one rood of land with a cottage built on it 'and also to one and an half of copyhold land of this manor lying in a certain Piglitle (?) in Lessingham'.
