The Right Rev George RODNEY, Lord Bishop of Wakefield.
The Venerable Joshua Ingham BROOKE of Halifax, Yorkshire. Archdeacon of Halifax.
The Most Rev William DALRYMPLE, Archbishop of York.
John CASSON of Wyke, Near Bradford, Yorkshire. Dyer.
The document begins by reciting a Deed Poll of 1852 in which William Priestley gave £200 and a parcel of land to the Curacy of Lightcliffe. A parsonage known as Lightcliffe Vicarage has since been erected on this land. A second Deed Poll in 1875 resulting from the will of Anne Walker gave an adjoining piece of land to the Curacy.
Now Robert Hill, the present curate, has decide that the vicarage "is inconveniently situated" and is selling it to John Casson for £2300, with the agreement of the other members of the Church hierarchy.
