Thomas Trueman of Eastwood, Nottinghamshire. Colliery Agent.
Matthew Twells of Eastwood, Nottinghamshire. Colliery Agent.
The document begins by reciting the will of Thomas Winfield (who died 1834 - the father of the one in this contract) in which he leaves property to his wife Elizabeth for her lifetime and then to his son Thomas Winfield (jnr).
At the time of this Indenture, Elizabeth Winfield is still alive and Thomas Winfield (jnr) is mortgaging his expectations under the will to Thomas Trueman and Matthew Twells for £60.
The property consists of a house in Trough Lane, Watnall, and a parcel of land in Kimberley. There is also mention of an adjoining plot of land bequeathed to Ann Giles, the daughter of Thomas Winfield (snr).
