James COOK of Pump Street, Worcester. (Publican) Thomas BERROW the Younger of the Parish of Grimley, County of Worcester. (Yeoman) Joseph COOK of Grimley, Worcestershire (deceased) (Labourer) SUBJECT The document begins by reciting that Joseph Cook died in 1851 leaving his property to his wife Mary during her life and then to his brother Thomas Cook. He appointed Thomas Cook and his nephew James Cook (listed above) as his Executors. Mary Cook died in 1851 and Thomas Cook in 1854, leaving James Cook as sole Executor. He has now sold a cottage in Sinton Green, Grimley, to Thomas Berrow for £25. We are told that Joseph Cook had acquired this cottage from his father Thomas Cook in 1806. | |||||||||||
