Charles William Carle Marsh of 'Rockdale', Newport, Monmouthshire, Gentleman William James Lloyd of Newport, Monmouthshire, Solicitor Thomas Bishop Ridley Wilson of Newport, Monmouthshire, Solicitor Charles Owen Lloyd of Newport, Monmouthshire, Solicitor George Frederick Lovell of 'Redcliffe', Fields Road, Newport, Monmouthshire, Confectioner. Subject The Indenture relates to property at 47 Albany Street, Newport on a plot of 764 sq. yds which is being sold to George Lovell for £500. We are told that in 1899 James Tovey of Maesyrhiw (?) Cwmbran, Monmouthshire borrowed £300 from Charles Marsh on a mortgage on this property. Then in 1904 he borrowed a further £100 on a statutory mortgage from William Lloyd, Thomas Wilson and Charles Lloyd. It appears that James Tovey defaulted on the second mortgage and these 3 mortgagees are exercising their right to sell the property. Of the £500 selling price, £300 goes to Charles Marsh and £200 to the other three. | |||||||||||
