The document begins by reciting an Indenture of 1871 in which Francis Hart mortgaged property in Middleton St George to Miles Coatsworth for £120. Francis Hart is now selling it to John Lambert for £300 of which £120 is being paid direct to Miles Coatsworth in settlement of the mortgage.
The property consists of a parcel of ground in Middleton St George of 202 square yards on the East side of the highway from Fighting Cocks to Middleton and together with a dwellinghouse erected by Francis Hart.
