The document begins by reciting the Will of Haxby Dougill who died in 1907. He asked his trustees to realise all his assets and invert it to give an income of 30 shillings per week to his wife Elizabeth Dougill for her life. The assets were then to be divided amongst his children with one-sixth shares each going to Thomas, Arthur, Harriet, George and Annie. One-twelfth shares each to go to Margaret and Ellen.
The family has agreed that instead of selling all his estate they will divide it between themselves. As part of that agreement, certain property in Darlington is now being conveyed to Margaret Dougill as her share.
It consists of two dwellinghouses at numbers 14 and 20 Greenebank Road North and also a dwellinghouse with shop at 112 Greenbank Road North.
