The document begins by reciting an Indenture of 1787 in which George Hunton mortgaged property in Ottingham Marsh to Elizabeth Smithers for £50. The property consists of a messuage with 5 acres of land.
Elizabeth Smithers has since died appointing Grace Bell as her executor. Grace Bell called in the outstanding mortgage and all principal interest was repaid but it seems that the property was not properly reconveyed to George Hunton. Grace Bell has since died appointing Ann Stephenson as her executor.
George Hunton is now mortgaging the same property to Thomas Wright for £100. Ann and William Stephenson are involved only to tidy up the previous mortgage.
