The contract relates to a dwelling house in Skinner Street, township of Ruswarp, Whitby.
The Document recites a long history of the property beginning in 1851 when it was sold by John Marwood to Hannah Barritt. Hannah died in 1853 having appointed Thomas Marwood as Trustee and Executor. Thomas Marwood died in 1886 leaving sons William Henry and Thomas Nelthorpe who are party to this contract.
The beneficiary of Hannah Barritt's will was her niece Mary Walker who married Joseph Snowball in 1855. Mary Snowball (nee Walker) outlived her husband and died in 1890 leaving one surviving daughter Mary Isabella Snowball.
Mary Isabella Snowball is now selling the property in Ruswarp to James Ward for £260 and this sale involves William and Thomas Marwood in their capacity as trustees.
