|Summary of contents:|
John Jackson Badger of Dore, Derbyshire, Merchant and Manufacturer.
Rev George Frederick Terry of 232 Arkwright Street, Nottingham.
William Hutchinson Harrison of 239 Western Bank, Sheffield, Yorkshire. Common Brewer.
Edmund Oxley of Hounsfield Road, Sheffield. Builder.
The document begins by reciting an Indenture of 1878 in which George Oxley obtains an 800 year lease on property in Wellesley Street, Sheffield. Then, in 1879, George Oxley mortgages the property for £500 and in 1891 the mortgage is transferred to John Badger and Rev George Terry. George Oxley died in 1880 leaving his property in trust for the benefit of his wife.
Probate was granted to Hannah Oxley and William Hutchinson Harrison who are, presumably, his wife and trustee. Hannah Oxley died in 1892. William Harrison is now selling the residue of he lease to Edmund Oxley for £660, of which £500 will be used to pay off the mortgage.
The property is now known as number 9 Wellesley Road.
