The document begins by reciting an Indenture of 1878 by which George Oxley obtained an 800 year lease on land in Wellesley Street, Ecclesall Bierlow, Sheffield. George Oxley is now borrowing £500 from John Badger and Samuel Cocker on security of this land and of the house erected on it since 1878.
The second Indenture of 1891 transfers the mortgage from John Badger and Samuel Cocker to John Badger and George Terry.
